“God has given to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the work of his ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ.” For example, Ephesians 4:12 is often read. As if pastors and pioneers have to do the work. “No”, says Paul, what we have to do is “equip the saints for the work in his service”. How do you activate an intercultural church? That is what the network morning for leaders on Friday October 15 is about.
It is not always easy to activate a church, but leaders in the church are called to do so. How do you do that then? How can you activate community members? The network morning of 15 October is devoted to this.
We will discuss the Equip theme. We take Liz Wisemans’ theory about diminishers and multipliers and apply it to the intercultural church. We discover five ways to grow and develop as leaders who empower others. Or, in the words of Paul in Ephesians 4:12, “to equip the saints for service, for the building up of the body of Christ.”
There will be a time of worship, prayer, ministry. We make room for meeting each other around the meal. And the first intervision meeting takes place in small groups.
Make sure you’re there!
